The Brewery
Baja's first craft brewery, seven stories up —
eight taps, Land's End views, and beer pizza.
Baja Brewing Company holds the title of Baja California Sur's first craft brewery, and its rooftop perch on the seventh floor of Corazón Cabo Resort gives it a setting that no competitor has matched. The panorama covers the full crescent of Médano Beach, the marina, and the granite formations of Land's End — all from an open-air beer garden equipped with misters for warm afternoons and fire pits for cooler evenings. It is the most scenic place to drink a beer in Cabo San Lucas, and the beer is genuinely worth drinking.
Eight signature recipes on tap — La Surfa Baja Lager, the Cabotella Blonde Ale, and the award-winning Escorpión Negro Black Ale among them — replace the generic macro-lagers that dominate most of the strip. The kitchen backs the taps with a food program that earned a Food & Wine magazine feature for its wood-fired pizzas made with brewery ingredients. Happy hour runs Monday through Friday from 3 to 6 PM: $6 beers, $9 margaritas, discounted apps. The rooftop also hosts live music — classic rock, funk, and salsa — four nights a week, and runs big-screen TVs for sports the rest of the time.
What Is Baja Brewing Company Like in Cabo San Lucas?
Baja Brewing is Cabo's rooftop craft brewery on the 7th floor of Corazón Cabo Resort — house-brewed lagers and seasonal taps with panoramic El Arco and Sea of Cortez views. It's the best outdoor rooftop bar for craft beer in downtown Cabo.
The Taps & Menu
Eight craft beers and the pizza that made Food & Wine — what to order
La Surfa Baja Lager
The house lager built for the Baja climate — crisp, clean, and designed to be exactly what you want when you're sitting seven stories up over Médano Beach in the afternoon sun. The most-ordered beer on the rooftop by a significant margin.
Cabotella Blonde Ale
The approachable, crowd-pleasing option that converts lager drinkers. Light enough for the heat, with enough character to reward attention. The go-to for first-timers who want something beyond a standard light beer without going full craft.
Escorpión Negro Black Ale
The most decorated beer in the Baja Brewing lineup — a dark ale that earned the brewery its reputation for craft seriousness. Rich and roasty but not heavy, it holds up as a meal beer alongside the kitchen's food program.
Wood-Fired Beer Pizza
The signature kitchen item — wood-fired pizza made with brewery ingredients worked into the dough and sauce. Featured in Food & Wine magazine, these are legitimately the reason the food program gets as much attention as the taps. Order one.
Gourmet Burgers & Fresh Fish Tacos
Upscale pub classics executed with Baja ingredients — the fish tacos use fresh local catch and the burgers come with proper toppings. The menu is designed to complement the beer program rather than compete with it: uncomplicated, well-sourced, and solid.
$6 Beers · $9 Margaritas · Mon–Fri 3–6 PM
The best-value happy hour at a resort-adjacent property in Cabo. $6 draft beers, $9 margaritas, and discounted appetizer pairings for a three-hour window five days a week. The rooftop fills up during happy hour. Arriving at 3:05 PM is noticeably different from arriving at 3:45.
Before You Go
Finding the entrance & timing your visit
The entrance trips up first-timers: Baja Brewing is not accessible from the street. You enter the Corazón Cabo Resort lobby and take the dedicated elevators straight up to the 7th floor. The hotel does not restrict rooftop access to guests only — walk in through the lobby, follow signage to the elevators, and go up. For the best experience, time your visit around happy hour (3–6 PM, Monday through Friday) or arrive 30 minutes before sunset for prime railing positions.
Pints run $6–$9 USD — higher than a local cantina, in line with what the resort location commands, and widely considered worth the premium given the view. The open-air setting means the breeze off the Sea of Cortez does most of the work on warm afternoons; the misters and fire pits handle the rest. Completely casual dress code — sandals, shorts, and t-shirts are the standard uniform.
